Debra G. Simms is a Board Certified Elder Law Attorney, specializing in Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Advanced Directives, Probate, Guardianship and Medicaid. She has been practicing law for 35 years. She received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Case-Western University, Cleveland, Ohio and her Juris Doctorate from the Cleveland State University- John Marshall College of Law, Cleveland, Ohio.
Debra’s education in Social Work and Law gives her unique insight into the interface between the two disciplines and helps her to be a knowledgeable practitioner. She is a member of the Elder Law and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Sections of the Florida Bar and is the Chair of the Elder Law Section of the Volusia County, Bar. She is also an active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Florida Association of Elder Law Attorneys.
